By Grace He quenches our thirst, as He did when they arrived in the oasis of Marah, they didn't work for sweet water as they did in Egypt, all what Moses did to turn bitter water to sweet drinkable water was to throw a piece of wood. As God our Father did, He just threw a wood two thousand years ago in Calvary for Christ lay upon it, He even bore our "Marah life". He did it in order to turn our sour wasting bitter life, and give us a drinkable life, life without ending, life without sickness, inner peace that external things cant disturb. Only the Grace of God can quench the thirst.

The word Marah means bitterness, there are people who have all things they need but they're souls are thirsty, they wake up with breakfast in bed, order takeaways and feed their body to the fullest only to find out that their soul still yearns for water and thirsty for water, that is why such people don't get sleep, they don't have peace, such people who have it all but still murder, casting spells and involved in cults only because they're still in bitterness. At Marah they complained to Moses for they couldn't drink the water, Moses prayed to God, then God told Moses to throw a piece of wood in water automatically Marah water became sweet. He is the God of simply powerful things, He only need us to believe in Christ for our lives to change.

Israel spent 400 years in Egypt as slaves, as we know a slave has to work in order to eat. In Egypt they had the slave mentality, that said, even when Moses tried to take them out of slavery they murmured and complained all the way to Canaan. There are Christians nowadays who think God says them by the number of their fasting days, prayer schedules or how much they pray in tongues, Christians who still have the slave mentality thinking that they still have to work for healing, work for peace or work for holiness and righteousness, or observe the Law or certain requirements to be approved of God. Well the answer is in the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, all we have to do is to receive all what God has provided by Faith.
