Praise is not a Lips service!
Praise is a form of worship and honor. So it has to involve the heart! For in the heart it is where the issues of life dwells. To other believers is the matter of social status and religion, no wonder why some people can praise and bless you with their lips but in their hearts they criticize and curse. But God only desires a heart in praises that we offer! Lip service is when we please men while God is annoyed! In contrary praise from our hearts annoys the devil and excite Heaven! The ultimate function of praise is to draw us closer to God. The evidence that we are closer to God, is a change of lifestyle and language, instead of being rioting and arrogant we become harmless and humble, instead of cursing and swearing we bless and praise! Praise doesn't lead us to be hypocrites but to glory. For hypocrites need a stage to perform not to praise.
[ Jesus replied, “You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you, for he wrote, ‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. ]
