Many people today are in great distress and ripped inside. We have many people who are spiritual prisoners, those people may laugh and smile in their outward appearance but inside they are agitated, mourning, and crying. Some people live in luxury life in the flesh but their souls are in poverty. Being trapped in the flesh but free spiritually is far better than being free in the flesh but being a spiritual prisoner

However some people are not prisoners by choice, circumstances happen to them! Hence, we have people who look very happy, but inside they are trying everyday to keep their head above water in order to breathe. Others are trapped in debts, in prostitution, trapped in abusive relationship, some are trapped in divorce, some are premaritally cohabitating.

Then those who think they are in good terms with God, those who are holier than thou, will start to throw stones and judge all those that are in traps. Forgetting that we are all like birds which can be caught in snares unknowingly, we are like fish that are taken in an evil net within a wink of an eye. People can never predict when are they going to be trapped. Hence we must encourage and help those that are in prison as if we were also in prison.

God created people to be blameless, guiltless and upright, but humanity have turned to follow their own downward paths, humans made their own traditions, cultures, they labelled themselves with their ethnicity, humanity erected religions and norms but all of those systems were traps that separated us with God. All that God desires is relationship! The same friendship and companionship that He had with Adam and Eve before fall. God decided trap us all in Christ for the salvation of our souls and also to make A Way Out for us through Christ Jesus.

We know that Christ holy and righteous, but God poured all our wickedness and sins in Him and trapped us in Him. That is why He was born in a dirty place, it was to show how dirty we are. That is why He was called an illegitimate child as He was born out of wedlock, just as us we were born and living without God in this world.

Many people are persecuted by circumstances, it is no surprise, because even Herod wanted Christ dead! In Him we were trapped, and in Him we have a way out. Some people are taken as useless in their family, same as Christ, he was not honored in His hometown He was scorn by His brothers and rejected by His own people. Being in a trap is only for you to be freed and to treasure your freedom.

The purpose of God was to trap us in Christ so that He can free us through Him. While He was on the road to Calvary. He was beaten, as some of us are abused today "gender based violence". They spitted on Him, just like those pharisees who condemn and judge those who are inferior than them. He was crowned, but with the crown of thorns, all our frustration, stress and our disappointments were trapped in Him. But the purpose was to free us.

He even gave up His Spirit for us to be freed. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him (2 Cor 5:21). It is on the cross where we were freed. The soldier came to Jesus when He was already dead. the soldier that day took the position of being a midwife for us to be given birth, for us to come out of traps that we were in. The soldier pierced Christ in His womb, that was a cesarean birth process, immediately blood and water flowed out.

Do not die in the trap you are in, the trap you are in is a set up for you to be in Christ.

In Him we were Trapped, In Him we had A Way Out.
